With malice toward none...This 30-second PSA was created from scratch in three and
a half days by our team at the 2005 KAFI Cartoon Challenge.

Tim Heitz, and Megan Kelly. Stoopid MovieThis series of short films was completed in the Spring of 2005 by the
advanced animation class at San Jose State. It
won first place in the Animation category of the Radio Alice 3-Minute
Film Festival 2005. Neighborhood RootsEven in the winter we are still firing it up! In January of 2005, the
students of the animation program got together and animated this film
in just three weeks! 25 Ways to DieThis was a colaboration with other animation schools and has been seen
on MTV2! KAFI 2003Our team at the 2003 KAFI Cartoon Challenge
won first place with this animation, created from scratch in only four days.

"Neighborhood Roots" a Finalist at Adobe Design Achievement Awardsposted Thurs, June 2, 2005SJSU animation department short film "Neighborhood Roots" has been selected as a finalist in the Animation category of the 2005 Adobe Design Achievement Awards. Student representatives will attend the 2005 Adobe Design Achievement Awards Event held July 21st at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City, at which winner rankings will be announced. "Neighborhood Roots" has also been awarded BEST COLLEGE ANIMATION from the 2005 International Student Film Festival in Santa Barbara, California. "Neighborhood Roots" has also recently screened at the Kalamazoo Animation Festival International as well as the Ohlone College Film, Video, and Multimedia Festival, both in May of 2005.
